#INSURGENCY SANDSTORM PLAYER COUNT PC#
For a whole host of reasons I've never committed to a proper gaming PC and I've simply adored PS since I fell in love with my PS4. I'm a busy man and slow TTK started to feel real slow. Personally, Insurgency coming to console was a breath of fresh air for someone who has enjoyed both COD (way back in the day) and Battlefield. Love to hear your opinions and also what you think will be the future for the Insurgency series, or an eventual new shooter from NWI, if they ever manage to release it. Now, this isn't an advertisement for MW2, I hope everyone still continues to play Sandstorm, but just a rational assessment of the lack of initiative from NWI and options becoming available for fps lovers, especially on the consoles. After playing the MW2 beta, IW wants to push some changes that I think ultimately will move their version of CoD towards a more realistic shooter (less visual aid, less reliance on minimap, slower than other CoD games, realistic movement).Ī sad reality for me personally, because I love Sandstorm, but the company seems to fail to deliver on their promises and the devs don't seem to fix some of the bigger issues ( players getting kicked to the menu after the map vote ends, players randomly getting muted on both sides of the team, and most importantly the broken matchmaking leaving start of the game with drastically uneven teams all too often). It's a real missed opportunity, because players want a shooter like Sandstorm, and if done right it would get millions of players. Not necessarily a bad thing for the community, but not such a great thing for NWI, a company in the business of selling their game.
I think there are a lot of FPS-refugees that have no other place to go, especially since Battlefield 2042 was a murder suicide and the last two CoD titles were garbage as well.Īs someone that used to like CoD, in the recent years it was only Infinity Wards 2019 Modern Warfare that finally appealed to me again, dye to it's slightly more serious approach to shooters (albeit still being quite arcadey).Īfter the first 6/7 months of playing Sandstorm and coming to the realization that NWI does not seem to care to really be competitive against other potential shooters, my fears seem to be real that come Modern Warfare 2 in end of October, quite a few players on Sandstorm will leave. Having said that, I have noticed a steady stream of new players on Xbox every month since it's console launch, especially the last 5 months. Although it will be less than I have been playing for the past 10 months. To start, I would like to make it clear that I will not stop playing Sandstorm. And happy to read that for most players Sandstorm will always have a place for them.Įdit: my title is a bit clickbaity, it's not necessarily my view/opinion, just a point of discussion.
